Radon Mitigation Fox Crossing WI
A-1 Radon the Wisconsin Radon Mitigation Experts
Affordable Pricing, Lifetime Radon Mitigation System Guarantee, Fast Quality Installation, Free Radon Mitigation Bid
If your home has high radon levels, don’t worry. Our team has installed thousands of radon mitigation systems all over Wisconsin since 1988. A radon mitigation system can be installed quickly and affordably in less than a day. Our radon mitigation systems significantly reduce the radon levels in your home – guaranteed. Our systems will lower the radon levels in your house to below 3.9 and in many cases, our radon removal systems will bring a house down to under 1.0 pCi/L at no extra charge.
Installed by our experienced and certified technicians, a radon removal system creates ventilation in the soil under the foundation. The suction created by a specialty radon fan carries the radon and other soil gasses through a series of pipes and exhausts them into the air outside the house.
A-1 Radon Advantages:
- Very competitive priced systems using the highest quality certified parts and radon fans
- Lifetime warranty on system parts and labor, (fan carries the 5-year manufacturer’s warranty)
- Lowers the radon levels in your home to 3.9 pCi/L or less – guaranteed. Most homes will be below 1.9 pCi/l
- Reduces the humidity under your foundation, which in turn can reduce both mold and moisture from the basement
- Reduces other dangerous ground gases (VOC’s) such as methane and formaldehyde in your home
A radon mitigation system installation can generally be scheduled within a week and takes less than a few hours to finish. A-1 Radon goes the extra mile for our customers – including installing systems in the most discreet location possible, whether exterior or interior, and doing all clean-up once the job is done.
EPA And World Health Organization Recommendations:
Radon is measured in picoCuries per liter, or “pCi/L”. While the EPA recommends that you take action if the radon level in your home is 4.0 pCi/L or higher, the World Health Organization (WHO) actually recommends that your home not have levels above 2.7 pCi/L. So you’ve had your house tested and the level is above the WHO recommendation. What now?

If your home is found to have higher radon levels, we only request that you would consider a Free Bid from us for mitigation services.
If you prefer, A-1 offers DIY radon testers you can pick up from our local office and conduct the radon test yourself with simple instructions A-1 provides.
A-1 follows the AARST/NRPP testing rules. That means homes must keep closed-house conditions, meaning all windows must be shut (on all levels of home) at least 12 hours before test start and during the entire 48+ hour test. Outside doors may be used, but must be left closed when not in use.
We do NOT use scare tactics on our radon reports and share EPA statements to help our clients understand their radon reports. This is the wording on every report:
“Why is testing for radon important? The EPA states, “Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking and to fix homes where radon levels are 4.0 pCi/L or greater. A radon level below 4.0 pCi/L still poses a risk, so still, consider fixing when between 2.0 and 4.0 pCi/L. The higher the home’s radon level, the greater the health risk to you and your family.” If your level was between 2.0 and 4.0 pCi/L, please note radon levels in cold weather months (Nov-Mar) may be significantly higher and you should consider retesting in a cold month to verify radon levels.”
Are there any exclusions to the program? The homeowner must order the test. Homes tested must be located in Wisconsin and do not already have a radon mitigation system installed. For real estate transaction tests, the home must be located within 35 miles of Green Bay or Appleton to qualify for a free test since a certified technician must place and collect the test. Don’t misunderstand – we are happy to mail a free test kit anywhere in Wisconsin. The mileage restriction is only for real estate transactions.
